The Pod says a BIG ‘Thank You ‘ to volunteers

As part of national Volunteer Week, we held an event at Gore hedge Community Room, Aster Communities,  to recognise and say a huge Thank You to volunteers across the projects.

On Wednesday 5th June, 40 volunteers from weekly Bingo at the Cheese & Grain, Scrapstore, Pop Disco, Pod Projects, and community events, gathered for a pizza and drinks.

The event was organised by Jonathan Smith a regular volunteer and now Pod employee. All who attended were given a certificate and badge of thanks from the charity. Members gave a short presentation on their experiences of volunteering and being supported by The Pod.

A lovely evening was had by everyone, and in a poll, the group decided they would like to catch up twice a year to meet volunteers from different projects. The Pod community is growing, and this is largely due to the dedication and enthusiasm of our fantastic volunteers.
