Scrapstore

The Little Scrapstore is open for all your creative needs.
If you are from a care or education setting, a home school provider, charity, or a community group, then you need to explore Little Scrapstore. We have materials and resources for your art, craft and play projects, fundraising or displays. If you can not come along when the Little Scrapstore is open, or if you are an individual or organisation with items to donate, please contact Kate at scrapstore@thepodcharity.org.uk to arrange a collection/donation appointment.
Community Links and encouraging creativity.
We had a great time running a creative space using donated, recycled materials at the annual Purple Elephant Children’s Festival on Sunday 27th July in the Cheese & Grain. Our fabulous Pod Plus and community volunteers help children and adults got creative with our wonderful scrap. We also provided free materials in goodie bags for families to take home for summer craft activities.
We are continuing to work towards achieving our dream of a permanent big Scrapstore, providing training, work experience, and employment for adults with additional needs. Over the past year, the charity has worked hard behind the scenes to ensure that growth for Scrapstore sits alongside stability for all of our projects. We are actively looking for a premise to create a hub for all Pod projects, including Scrapstore.
If anyone in our community has ideas about how or where we can achieve this, please contact the charity, community support is valued.
With thanks to an amazing team of volunteers, we are able to steadily grow the project and the community is benefiting.
Please share our details with anyone you feel may be interested, or companies that may have useful waste items or materials to donate.

Fun at the Children's Festival
Pod Scrapstore was asked to run an activity area at the Children’s Festival. Pod member volunteers provided ideas, materials, and encouragement for children and families to get creative, both on the day and at home. They provided goodie bags for free holiday entertainment which was appreciated by children and adults. It was a joy to see so many happy faces and lots of great creative ideas.
