Community Links and encouraging creativity.

Once again we had a great time running a creative space using recycled materials at the Children’s Festival on Sunday 21st July in the Cheese & Grain. Our fabulous Pod Plus and community volunteers help children and adults got creative with our wonderful scrap. We also provided free materials for families to take home for summer craft activities.

We are continuing to work towards achieving our dream of a permanent big Scrapstore, providing training, work experience and employment for over 18’s with additional needs.  With thanks to an amazing team of volunteers, we are able to steadily grow the project and the community is benefitting.

Please share our details with anyone you feel may be interested, or companies who may have useful waste items or materials to donate.

Our member volunteers are supported to provide fun eco crafts for everyone attending.   We ask for a suggested donation of £1.

Each market is themed and we plan crafts to fit with each month’s theme. In May “Celebrating Our River” was so much fun with fish and otters being created as well as a few imaginative river monsters.

We rocked PRIDE in June with all things rainbows, sparkle and  pizazz!

You’ll find us outside the Library near the children’s music area.

Our next dates and themes will be –

3rd Nov             Bonfire Night

1st Dec               Christmas

See you there for family craft fun!
